Polish higher education system offers education in a three-stage degree system:

Bachelor (Licencjat, Inżynier) can be obtained by high school graduates who complete 3-3,5 year-long studies

Master (Magister) and equivalent degrees ? granted following the 5-6 year-long university studies or 2-3 year-long supplementary studies for bachelor graduates

Doctoral (Doktor) ? available to master holders who pass doctoral exam and successfully defend doctoral dissertation

International student may also participate in a variety of specialized or post-graduate courses, including MBA, non-graduate programs and special programs based on bilateral agreements between some of polish and ukrainian universities and ukrainian students comprise the biggest minority studying in Poland.

Polish accredited higher education institution use European Credit Transfer System (ECTS points) and comply with the ENQA standards for easier recognition of diplomas and completed courses.
